Project: 10m Pilot Boat
Material: GRP

Design and arrangement for 10m pilot vessel, based on a development of the well proven Lochin 33 hull form. We are pleased to have been involved with the design of numerous Lochin pilot boats and other commercial craft during an association of more than 20 years.

Client: Sutton Workboats Ltd
Project: 15m Catamaran Workboat
Material: GRP

Design / engineering of a multi-role catamaran. The project objective was to create a hull form with the adaptability to mould a range of craft from 13 to 20m in length from the same tooling. The hull form provides a very stable working platform, with high load carrying capability and is able to attain speeds well in excess of 20 knots subject to payload and installed power. To date 4 vessels of varying lengths have been constructed to this design.

Project: Restoration of HMS Caroline
Material: Steel

We contributed naval architecture and engineering services for this significant historic ship restoration project. Including stability analysis, and engineering support for the integration of a rigid arm mooring system with the ship structure. We also developed a cost effective solution for ballasting the 138m ship to achieve the correct floating trim for service as a floating exhibition. This interesting and challenging project was shortlisted for the Art Fund Museum of the Year in 2019, and we are pleased to have played a small part in this successful restoration.

For this new-build project we were engaged to develop a stability model from offsets measured from the ship as there was no lines plan available. We carried out a lightship survey and inclining experiment, and produced a stability information book for MCA workboat code certification. We also produced a package of drawing information and supporting calculations for plan approval.
